    Pretending I’m in outerspace
    So I don’t have to see your face
    Those leering eyes look down at me
    I’ve lost all hope you’ll set me free

    You drove me out too far from home
    Way further than the buffalos roam
    Pretending that you were my friend
    Until we reached that dark dead-end
    Your touch it chilled the coldest ice
    You blamed me, said that I enticed
    I gently said, “We must get back”
    Maliciously you spit a laugh
    “Ass, gas, or grass. No rides are free”
    “I thought you liked my company”
    Whatever just to make me guilty
    How come I’m the one that feels so filthy???

    Pretending I’m in outerspace
    So I don’t have to see your face
    Those leering eyes still look at me
    My only hope you took from me

    You drove me back but I’m still there
    I don’t know how you just don’t care
    I watch you go on ‘bout your day
    Like you didn’t take my worth away
    But how on earth could I have let you?
    It’s my fault for smiling at you
    It’s my fault for all that leading
    Can you make monsters then just hate ‘em?

    Pretending I’m in outerspace

    Itching all over
    My thoughts randomly flop
    I don’t NEED

    I WANT

    Inhale

    I don’t want to need to breathe
    I don’t want to need
    I don’t want
    I NEED

    NEED you

    Inhale
    Inhale. Exhale.

    I float
    I float out
    I float out of the bubble between need and want

    I don’t need love

    I am nothing but this wicked thing that tries to slink to freedom
    I’m nothing but this evil thing that cast us out of Eden
    But at some point there has to be a shared hand in the blame
    ‘Cause you might’ve not ask the world to flood, but you asked for the rain

    I’m maybe not the perfect girl I know most my time’s wasted
    I sure don’t have too much regret except that fruit I tasted
    But at least I ask forgiveness and I know I caused my pain
    See I might’ve not asked my world to flood, but I asked for the rain

    I hope you hear these words I say and let them fill your soul
    I hope you feel this love I give and let it make you whole
    See sometimes right don’t matter and there’s no sense pointin’ blame
    And you can’t just ask the world to flood to take away your pain

    Sometimes life gets the best of you, it’s hard to go on livin’
    Sometimes it’s hard to see it through, and you get tired of givin’
    But know you’re not alone here we’ve got shared hands in the blame, baby
    And maybe someday the world will flood, but we’re safe from the rain

    My love for you is like a river running deep and true
    My love for you is like an asteroid hurdling towards its doom
    My love for you can move the mountains right into the sea
    But my love for you is tried and true despite the loss of me

    My love for you it comes and goes just like the late moon tide
    My love for you swings to and fro I’m duckin’ tryin’ to hide
    My love for you’s a boomerang that comes right back around
    And it crashes like a thundercloud that doesn’t make a sound

    My love for you’s a whisper shrilly echoing through my soul
    My love for you it fills me up but then just leaves a hole
    My love for you it drowns us both but then just swims to shore
    Oh my love for you goes on forever and for nevermore

    I never meant to lose you while I was tryin’ to find myself
    I never meant to send you to the arms of someone else
    But now what’s done is done and I will never be the same
    I’ve set fire to all my bridges so you can’t come back again

    Burnin’ all my bridges, settin’ fire to the rain
    I’ve got my blowtorch set on high and filled with gasoline

    I never meant to hurt you when I kept hurtin’ myself
    I never meant to make you think I wanted someone else
    But now what’s done is done and I’ve moved on with no regret
    Except that I forgot to give you all the heart that I had left

    Burnin’ all my bridges, settin’ fire to the rain
    I’ve got my blowtorch set on high and filled with gasoline

    Douse my bridge with high-octane and set my soul on fire
    I rented out my body and my heart is not for hire
    I’ll never love again after these things I’ve done to you
    And it breaks my heart most every day to know that we are through

    I’m burnin’ all my bridges, settin’ fire to the rain
    I’ve got my blowtorch set on high and filled with gasoline

    I love the way He loves me though He sees into my soul
    I love the way He loves me even after all He knows
    I love the way He loves me even on my darkest night
    ‘Cause it’s all his love that lifts me up and makes my soul take flight

    I love the way He loves me, yes I love the way He loves me
    He’s not hidin’ in those clouds above his love is all around me

    I love the way He loves me even after all my wrongs
    I love the way his love is unconditional and strong
    I love the way He loves me even when my heart’s a mess
    And I love the way He loves me even if I fail the test

    I love the way He loves me even when I fall apart
    I love the way his love patches my soul and heals my heart
    I love the way his love cleanses just like the purest rain
    And I love the way his love’s with me again, again, again

    I love the way He loves me, yes I love the way He loves me

    Where does it all go?
    I’ve searched my heart for answers
    But she doesn’t seem to know

    Where is it I came from?
    Where am I gonna go?
    I’m wishing fate would whisper
    But she doesn’t seem to know

    Where is it I’m headed?
    Looks to be a mess
    Where I’m gonna end up
    Could be anybody’s guess

    I thought I knew my way once
    I thought I had a plan
    But I went the wrong direction
    And I’m stranded here again
