    The underside of you and me lies right below the surface
    It waits and smiles and tries to hide, but it will always hurt us
    It really doesn’t matter what I do or what I say
    ‘Cause the underside of you might hide, but it won’t go away

    I fight with everything I have to try to make us better
    I used to rage but now I’m calm through all your stormy weather
    But is it really fixin’ things for me to just pretend?
    Wish that I could just believe in you and all of this would end

    Wish that I could just believe in every single word you say
    I wanna have some faith that you can make it go away
    But every time your lips are movin’ all I hear are lies
    You’re just spewin’ out excuses, makin’ up your alibis

    You shift the blame and try to make it everybody else
    You’re pointin’ all those fingers, but not lookin’ at yourself
    You’re talkin’ ’bout how Jesus would do this and would do that
    But you’re just a selfish glutton suckin’ souls and gettin’ fat

    The underside of you’s no longer right below the surface
    It’s bubbled up so much that all this heartache isn’t worth it
    It really doesn’t matter what I do or what I say
    ‘Cause I’m done with all your bullshit and wish you’d just go away

    of my time and my heart’s energies
    Here’s where I stop letting you
    cop out givin’ some love back to me

    If I’d known I was pushin’ too hard
    And you didn’t think I’d understand
    I woulda backed off and I wouldn’t be here
    in this lonely platonic romance

    I still just can’t do what I’m told
    ‘Cause I’m really not young, but not old
    If I could I’d just go with the flow
    Then I wouldn’t be left in the cold

    If I’d known you were happy alone
    I’d have run back when I had the chance
    So please let me go don’t just keep me for show
    in this lonely platonic romance

    But I’m guessing it’s over for now
    Though I’m still kinda scared you’ll come back
    Right about when I start feelin’ good
    I’ll be right back under attack

    From your eyes that can look in my soul
    And your smile that makes me want to dance
    So I’m beggin’ you please I am down on my knees
    Set me free this platonic romance

    What I say is usually “I’m fine”
    What I mean is that I’m hurtin’
    I wanna speak the truth
    But I don’t wanna be your burden

    I say that “It’s ok”
    But what I mean is that it’s not
    ‘Cause my heart is always broken
    But it’s all the heart I got

    What I say is that I’ll walk away
    But really I’m still sittin’
    I didn’t wanna care but
    I just can’t help that I’m smitten

    I wanted you to go away
    But now I want you here
    I just wanted you to go fuck off
    But now I want you near

    What I say is usually “I’m fine”
    What I mean is that I’m broken
    I want it to be over
    But I just can’t keep from hopin’

    I wanted you to give a shit
    But you’re so full of pride
    What you said was that you cared
    But what you meant was that you lied

    What I said is that we’d be friends
    What I meant was that I’m broken
    You said to just go with the flow
    But then you left me floatin’

    What I said was that “It’s all good”
    What I meant is it’s just not
    ‘Cause my heart is all in pieces
    And it’s all the heart I got

    Boredom wraps around me like a noose around my neck
    If you could die of boredom it’s the closest I could get
    I’ve lost my job and stuck I am up in this horrid mess
    And I’m thinkin’ when it’s over’s kinda anybody’s guess

    I’m goin’ crazy thinkin’ ‘bout how we’ll all make great pets
    For the money that has bought our soul’s accumulated debts
    And when it might be over’s kinda anybody’s guess
    ‘Cause the world has caught on fire and we’re scared of gettin’ wet

    Boredom tightens up that noose there’s not much 02 left
    My mind just goes in circles and it’s keepin’ me adrift
    I scroll and scroll until my eyes are aching in their pits
    And I’m thinkin’ when it’s over’s kinda anybody’s guess

    This tedium’s a medium for cataclysmic stress
    ‘Cause boredom don’t travel alone it travels with its friends
    Depression, gluttony, and apathy they all descend
    And I’m really not quite sure if any of this has an end

    Sometimes I just wish I could crawl in and die
    Keep lookin’ around for just one reason why
    But all that I see is another that kills me
    And all of the evil that someday just will be

    All that I see is the faces of horror
    The blood and the sins that surround us like auras
    And pick off our minds each one at a time
    While we all put on masks and pretend that we’re fine

    All that I see is the end drawing nearer
    But not close enough because all of this fear hurts
    All that I want is just someone to get me
    Or maybe just someone that wouldn’t forget me

    Sometimes I just wish I could crawl in and die

    If there’s anyone else to blame then I blame you
    If it wasn’t all my fault then have some too
    It only took one trusted friend and that was you
    If there’s anyone else to blame then I blame you

    It only took one person to cross that line
    It only took one person to make me blind
    I was lookin’ for somethin’ from you I’d never find
    And you should’ve gave me love not just a hooker’s bribe

    If there’s anyone else to blame then I blame you
    If it wasn’t all my fault then have some too
    It only took one trusted friend and that was you
    If there’s anyone else to blame then I blame you

    I know it’s all my fault, so who am I to say
    That you started all the trouble that has come my way
    But keeping you here in my life each passing day
    Drags me further the down wrong way of a packed freeway

    You drive a 100 mph and just stand still
    You’re the reason people shouldn’t have free will
    All your drama grows and oozes like an oil spill
    And I gotta say I think I’ve finally had my fill

    If there’s anyone else to blame then I blame you

    How the hell can you just sit there in disguise
    The evil washes over you before my eyes
    And I don’t know how the hell I’m somehow still surprised
    By your constant never ending list of alibis

    And it’s time to say goodbye now ‘cause I think we’re through.

    Narcissistic stupid bullshit
    Floods the world like it’s atomic
    Everybody’s out for somethin’
    Everybody’s out here frontin’

    We forgot what we are here for
    We forgot that we should love more
    We forgot about our mission
    ‘Cause we’re tryin’ to get attention

    Now we’re here fallin’ apart
    ‘Cause we forgot about our hearts
    And pretty soon if we keep suckin’
    We’ll be swallowed by the nothin’

    We’ll be swallowed by our egos
    Gettin’ lost in our own needs most
    Til our pleasures turn to sufferin’
    And there’s no hope of recoverin’

    So it’s time we stood for somethin’
    Before our world turns into nothin’
    And we’re lost with nothin’ left
    But frozen hearts and souls bereft

    So now it’s time we stood for somethin’
    Even just a lil dumb thing
    ‘Cause it starts with just one flicker
    Just one spark, one little whisper

    Just one soul can change the world
    One tiny lil hidden pearl
    Can change a whole entire ocean
    And its whole entire motion

    So don’t let go of your spirit
    Let it fill you and be near it
    Let go of your pride and ego
    Be the love that this world needs most

    It’s hard for me to listen ‘cause your words just melt away
    It’s not for lack of tryin’, though, your eyes lead me astray
    They’re like the calm before the storm above the ocean’s waves
    And they wane and wax so gently as their moonbeams light my way

    Every time I look at you I’m lost in your embrace
    And even when I don’t see you my mind still sees your face
    My heart and soul are out of whack and so far out of place
    I’m so far ahead, but still somehow I’m losin’ in this race

    I feel the way you see me and I see the way you smile
    I’m tryin’ to move on, but I’ve been movin’ on awhile
    And every time you look at me I go another mile
    Runnin’ in the fuckin’ wrong direction confident and wild

    I’m tryin’ to out run you, but I let you set my pace
    My heart it beats for want of you each time I see your face
    All logic goes right out the window lost without a trace
    And I’m just fool on the wrong block and stuck out in the rain

    I feel the way you see me and I see the way you smile
    I’m tryin’ to move on, but I’ve been movin’ on awhile
    And every time you look at me I go another mile
    Runnin’ in the fuckin’ wrong direction confident and wild

    Each time I look into your eyes I’m lost in outer space
    I’m tryin’ not to panic, but my guidebook’s been erased
    I know I should be patient but I’ve had all I can take
    And I know that I should run away, but I just need a taste

    I’ve been so close to givin’ up more times than I can count
    I’m tired of wonderin’ what you’re thinkin’ every single day
    And I’m not a boomerang that just comes back when thrown away

    Please just let me in or please just let me go
    Please don’t keep me runnin’ down the middle of the road
    Please don’t keep me treadin’ in your sea of ifs and doubts
    Either throw me out a lifeline or step back and let me drown

    Take this leash from ‘round my neck and please just let me go
    Let me just go back to bein’ someone you don’t know
    Let me wander back away and meld into the crowd
    If you’re never gonna miss me let me go and let me out

    If you can’t let me in then please just shut the door
    You gotta let me go if you can’t give a little more
    ‘Cause what you’re doin’ just ain’t right and I’m so insecure
    Either please just walk away or pick my heart up off the floor

    Please just let me in or please just let me out

    I sit and wonder what’s the point
    And then I smoke another joint
    It’s not enough to just exist here
    Wanna live but swallowed by fear
    Wanna fight but I’m so tired
    Don’t wanna go another mile
    So then I just get stuck and sit here
    Waitin’ ’til the future gets clear

    I’m just waitin’ in my room
    Been layin’ here since way passed noon
    With all these thoughts just comin’ at me
    Wish I could just let ’em have me

    Wish I could just let me go
    And give up everything I know
    Wish I could just hit a button
    And see what the fuck’s a-coming
    Wish I could just make you see me
    And then maybe you could free me
    But I can’t so I just sit here
    Waitin’ til my future gets clear

    But it just keeps gettin’ fuzzy
    How can you care? I don’t love me
    All I am’s a lump that sits here
    Barely in and barely out there
    All I am’s a waste of time
    Even if I give you mine
    So now I’m stuck and I just sit here
    Wishin’ I could draw your heart near

    I’m just waitin’ in my room
    Been layin’ here since way passed noon
    With all these thoughts just comin’ at me
    Wish I could just let ’em have me

    I’m just waitin’ for the ending
    ‘Cause I’m just so done pretending
    I just want it to be over
    And I dont want to be sober
    So I just curl up and lay here
    Waitin’ for the coast to be clear
    Waitin’ for that happy ending
    If I could just go back to dreaming

    I’m just waitin’ in my room
