Still You
The silence echoes through the house and you’re still on my mind
Another humid night goes by and you’re my only kind
I try to walk my mind away from everything that’s you
But all my wheels just spin in place and make a muddy stew
I try to move along but everything just moves right back
I try to runaway but thoughts of you won first in track
The quiet in this house just echoes all around my ears
But somehow never seeing you’s the loudest of my fears
I don’t know you and don’t know why I feel this soul connection
It makes no sense to me that you’re my version of perfection
But now I think I should give up and just ask God for mercy
I wish I could but I’d do anything to let you hurt me
