Abstract Love by Melodie Yvonne

All of my heart goes to my dear,
beaten up so, but my heart never fears,
given the madness year after years,
and now madness left and abandoned us here.

Together we two have found our two hearts,
have beat for each other right from the start,
and ache with a longing when we’re apart.
Love has remade us. Love is an art.

Swirling colors of affection and trust,
coating our broken hearts, mangled and crushed,
hiding obscenities, hiding the fears,
an abstracted mask masking the tears.
