Itching by Melodie Yvonne

Itching all over thoughts randomly flop to you again tonight
Rememberin’ back to long ago us dancin’ through the night
Gave our girl my ring and names on that ole piece of rice
Don’t know now just how I’ll feel without you in my life

You’re not gone, but I’m already missin’ you in my head
You was so cruel, but still somehow there’s things here left unsaid
But ain’t no love through all these years compared to yours and mine
‘Cause there ain’t no love like messy love that stands that test of time

Floatin’ ‘round in a bottle dancin’ naked in the dark
You done been gone so many years but you’re still sewn to my heart
We was so young and thought true love was for infinity
But you weren’t true and all your lies done made a mess of me

You’re not gone, but I’m already missin’ you like you’re dead
You was so cruel, but still somehow you’re stuck here in my head
But ain’t no love through all these years compared to yours and mine
‘Cause there ain’t no love like messy love that stands that test of time

Yeah, there ain’t no love like messy love that stands that test of time
There ain’t no love through all these years that’s just like yours and mine
And when you’re gone, Cuddlefish, you’ll still be here on my mind
‘Cause, Darlin’, ain’t no love like messy love that stands that test of time
