Drivin’ for Miles by Melodie Yvonne
There’s an ocean of fear right at my surface
Keep asking myself if all of it’s worth it
I’m just so damn sick of all of this hurtin’
So please just reject me so I can be certain
Gets harder and harder to go on this way
I’m drivin’ for miles just to hear what you’ll say
I’m drivin’ for miles hoping you’ll look my way
Then all of these fears just make me turn away
I’m just so damn scared of all of these feelings
It just takes one look and you got my mind reeling
Can’t think what to say ‘cause I’m wanting to touch you
I just wish I knew if you’re feeling these vibes too
Tired of this wishin’ and tired of confusion
Tired of this lustin’ and wonderin’ what you’re doing
Feel like a Molotov cocktail been shelved
And if I don’t burst soon I just might throw myself
Gets harder and harder to go on this way
I’m drivin’ for miles just to hear what you’ll say
I’m drivin’ for miles hoping you’ll look my way
Then all of these fears just get in my way
I’m scared of these feelings and scared you’ll reject me
Scared ‘cause there’s no one left here to protect me
Scared that I’ll get you, but scared that I’ll lose you
So I just keep driving for miles to be near you
It’s harder and harder to go on this way
I’m drivin’ for miles just to hear what you’ll say
I’m drivin’ for miles hoping you’ll look my way
‘Til all of these fears just make me turn away
Until all of these fears just get in my way
