You’ve got a list of your fake friends
That scrolls and scrolls and never ends
But you’ve just gotta get some more
‘Cause love don’t count lest you’re adored
Your morals come straight from the masses
Even if they’re wholly classless
You make thoughts and prayers prevalent
But whenever’s most convenient
Make a place for hearts to rent
Then bleed them dry until they’re spent
Then you just go talk shit about them
And how you’ll go on without them
One day this the next it’s that
You’re never happy where you’re at
You pick and choose all your own truths
‘Til even you’re a bit confused
And then when all the dramas peaked
You leave and turn the other cheek
You shake your head and point the finger
Makin’ sure that you stay cleaner
Make a place for hearts to rent
Then bleed them dry until they’re spent
Then you just go and move them out
‘Cause you’re the one it’s all about
Now you act sad that you’re alone
Until you’re pickin’ up that phone
You make a line and call some numbers
Find out who can heal your bummers
Then it all just starts again
Your big ole list of big fake friends
You make a purge then get some more
