A Melodie’s Prayer by Melodie Yvonne
Father please calm me and give me my tongue
Give me the words and then help me move on
I’ll steward your answers just please help me share them
And please help me save all these unaware victims
Please keep me righteous and here on your path
But keep me from being a judgmental ass
Please keep me humble and patient and kind
Even though I don’t walk ‘round deliberately blind
Thank you for all of these gifts that you’ve given
Thank you for making me a powerful woman
But I think most of all I thank you for the love
And thank you for my home that awaits up above
Father please calm me and give me my tongue
Give me the words and then help me move on
I’ll steward your answers just please help me share them
And please help me save all these unaware victims
Oh lord help me save all these unaware victims
Oh lord help me share all your wisdom
Amen.
