All for You by Melodie Yvonne
We were taught here from a young age
How the Lord wants us to behave
But not how to
We were taught here from a young age
Not to make the messes we made
But not how to
No, not how to
All this worry and anxiety that seems to plague our society’s not our burden
And that’s for certain, it’s all for you
This world’s rage that’s uncontrolled tryin’ to seep down in our souls it’s all for you
Let it pass through
It’s all for you
So we sit in messes we’ve made
Tryin’ to clean up from our young age
But what to do
We keep listenin’ to that whisperin’
And we just keep forgettin’ that
It’s not you
No, it’s not you
‘Cause the you that’s in our soul
Tries to guide us where to go
But we’re scared to, Oh we’re scared too
It’s just so hard to keep rememberin’
That we deserve to be a winner and
Just let you
Oh why can’t we let you?
‘Cause all this worry and anxiety that seems to plague our society’s not our burden
And that’s for certain, it’s all for you
This world’s rage that’s uncontrolled tryin’ to seep down in our souls it’s all for you
Let it pass through
It’s all for you
