My Love for You by Melodie Yvonne
My love for you is like a river running deep and true
My love for you is like an asteroid hurdling towards its doom
My love for you can move the mountains right into the sea
But my love for you is tried and true despite the loss of me
My love for you it comes and goes just like the late moon tide
My love for you swings to and fro I’m duckin’ tryin’ to hide
My love for you’s a boomerang that comes right back around
And it crashes like a thundercloud that doesn’t make a sound
My love for you’s a whisper shrilly echoing through my soul
My love for you it fills me up but then just leaves a hole
My love for you it drowns us both but then just swims to shore
Oh my love for you goes on forever and for nevermore
