Words from a gonzoesque life in an oh so gonzoless world

Money Does

Originally published online Nov 13, 2017 & in the collection Photographic Memories: Deux Mille Dix-Sept — available here

Money is as money does
Money trumps the toughest drug
And if you fail that greedy test
You might as well just be on meth

Money is as money does
Money doesn’t buy you love
And if you act all spoiled and shitty
You’ll be done in just as quickly

Money is as money does
You’re not the best of anyone
I’d rather be just poor and lonely
Than be just a giant phoney

Money is as money does
