These Eyes by Melodie Yvonne
I’m not sure how you see so still, my eyes are always dancing
No matter if I stand or sit, my pupils are romancing
I’m never solely in the dark, my visual snow enhances
A green cyan magenta veil, it dances and entrances
These eyes, these eyes they dance and sway
Inside their skull all locked away
And oh I’d like to set them free
But here they stay more me than me
Some say I see too much I guess, but all of them walk blindly
Then any little trouble stirs, they run to come and find me
I try to close these lids at night, insomnia scoffs loudly
And even if I glue them shut, night terrors rise up proudly
These eyes, these eyes they dance and sway
Inside this skull all locked away
And how I’d love to set them free
But here they stay more me than me
No matter if I stand or sit, my pupils are romancing
These irises can’t take a break, my peepers keep on dancing
And though I’d like to just forget and walk through this life blindly
No matter if I stand or sit my inner eye reminds me
These eyes, these eyes they dance and sway
Inside this skull all locked away
And how I’d love to set them free
But here they stay more me than me
These eyes, these eyes they dance and sway
Inside this skull all locked away
And how I’d love to set them free
But here they stay more me than me
