Words from a gonzoesque life in an oh so gonzoless world

Absence makes the heart grow stoic
Sympathy’s just not heroic
If I ever have to miss you
Ice cold nothing’s all I cling to

Universal dried up wasteland
Holds my universe in its hands
It’s too dark for me to breathe here
Visual snow won’t let me see clear

Let me go, don’t let me go
I need to need more than I show
Let me go, don’t let me go
Or else I’m gonna lose control

Pumped up products of our upkeep
Makes our softened hearts and souls weep
But these tears are mostly harmless
Given what our standards cost us

It’s a price we paid with sin and
I should never let you in
Vanity’s much worse than greed
I can’t have you but you can’t leave

Let me go, don’t let me go
I need to need more than I show
Let me go, don’t let me go
Or else I’m gonna lose control

Let me go, don’t let me go
I need to need more than I show
Let me go, don’t let me go
Or else I’m gonna lose control
