I’m Not Gonna Ever by Melodie Yvonne

Sometimes it’s hate that swallows me whole
It permeates skin and wraps around bones
and right now it seems like it’s one of those times
Putrid thick anger weaves through my mind
Leering at faces behind my red eyes
Blinded by nightmares I breathe into life

Dance with my devils and laugh I’m insane
but I’m not gonna let you do this again

Walk right on over, you walk right on me
I just can’t see why you won’t let me be
I ain’t got nothing, most nothing don’t phase me
So why do you gotta be pushy and change me?
This is my life, and I like how I live it
My heart has run dry, there’s no blood left to give it

Dance with my devils and laugh I’m insane
but I’m not gonna let you change me again

Now I’ll sink back, back into my brain
‘cause if I don’t I might go insane
Hide my soul deep where you won’t be finding
My scissors cut veins and strings that are binding
and not long you’ll see that you just don’t need me
I guess this depression’s a cage, but I’m free

Dance with my devils and laugh I’m insane
but I’m not gonna ever love you again
