Words from a gonzoesque life in an oh so gonzoless world

Don’t Say I’m Sorry

Originally published online Nov 15, 2016 & in the print collection Photographic Memories: The Neverending Sequel — available here

Don’t say I’m sorry
Just walk away
I promise I’ll give you
at least one more day

Don’t say I’m sorry
Don’t you turn red
You’re the first time I’ve felt
at home in my head

Don’t say I’m sorry
Don’t bow those eyes
We’ve all got our parts that
we wanna disguise

Don’t say I’m sorry
Don’t fall apart
I need your strength
to patch up my heart

Don’t say I’m sorry
Just say you’ll be
Never be sorry your
soul’s just like me
