Muse Blues by Melodie Yvonne
Please allow me a moment to bend your ear
My sick situation will soon be too clear
And all of these moments I keep to myself
I’d not wish on enemies how I have felt
Depression sets in and I don’t let it phase me
It keeps creepin’ in until I’m weak and hazy
Thought I was something but knowin’ I’m not
I wish I could change but I’m all that I got
‘Cause I am still me and you are still you
I got all this sadness so what should I do
This frowny disease won’t let me near you
but I’m going to wither without my muse blues
Knowin’ my soul is completely irrelevant
and now my heart has completely gone celibate
Flying towards hope that might soon revive me
but blues just taint greens with more blues as it binds me
And even on days when the sun shines so bright
I sit and I long for a sliver of night
For there I might find where my happiness lingers
and snatch back my smile with my discount five fingers
‘Cause I am still me and you are still you
I got all this sadness so what should I do
This frowny disease won’t let me near you
but I’m going to wither without my muse blues
I guess in the end these digits were greasy
and so are the arms that held me so briefly
now back in my mind cage still ever so lonely
I remember my place and know I’m a phony
‘Cause I am still me and you are still you
I got all this sadness so what should I do
This frowny disease won’t let me near you
but I’m going to wither without my muse blues
