Shattered by Melodie Yvonne

Everyone I’ve ever helped has took a piece of me
I’m a jigsaw with just edges, and my middle’s all empty
My puzzled heart’s all broken wonderin’ what on earth I’ve done
I’m a shattered stained glass window echoing hurt with the sun

My friend whose husband cheated and I helped her through divorce
Suddenly had no time for me once her life righted course
The guy that had my heart and led me on ‘til he was fixed
Had no time for my depression if I wouldn’t suck his dick

Everyone I’ve ever helped has left me far behind
Good enough for that rock bottom, but not that Good Life
Just trashy enough that you know I’m not gonna judge you
but not classy enough to get to hang out with the “real” you

Everyone I’ve ever helped has took a piece of me
Foundation’s gone and now I am collapsing underneath
My pieced-out heart’s so broken it just won’t fit back together
And if I don’t get help real soon I fear I’ll stay shattered forever.
