Discontinued by Melodie Yvonne

I still remember that way that you loved me
at least I thought that’s what love was.
your face when you were trying to impress me…
it was just the charm you bought at the bar.

You shined like the brightest penny
but they discontinued that coin right after I met you
I don’t remember which of you ran out first
but I know you were discontinued too

You hit unsubscribe on the love that I offered
until I had no love left to give
You didn’t care what toll it cost me
You took everything I had in the end

I don’t know now how to unknot this
This noose that you left in my heart and my brain
I guess now it’s just time that’ll end us
and maybe one day I’ll be free of your name
