Is there a world where you could want me? Somewhere we could be?
Is there a life where you could be here wrapped all around me?
Is there somehow a little bit of room left in your heart
for just a little piece of me like lightning in a jar

Are you ever missin’ me? Thinkin’ ‘bout us at all?
Do you know my eyes are oceans sittin’ waitin’ for your call?
Can you feel me longing for you one more fucking day?
Or are you just there wishin’ you could drink me all away?

Is there a universe where we could watch the stars at night?
A world where you would want me back and make it all all right?
A galaxy where there’s somehow a me and you at all?
A little bit of me in you like lightning in a jar

Is there a world where you could love me? Somewhere we could be?
Is there a life where you could be here wrapped all around me?
Is there somehow a little bit of room left in your heart
Where you could maybe think of givin’ you and me a start?

Is there a way that maybe you could crack that door an inch?
Or if you can’t then maybe I could get a little hint
‘Cause, darlin’, I’m still thinkin’ ‘bout you every night and day
Another ghost hauntin’ my heart, a broken effigy

Did I make a better man for someone else to love?
‘Cause all those words you said to me done got me all fucked up
And here I am wantin’ you again long after I moved on
But here you are popped up again like you think it’s your job

How come you made me want you and then took it all away?
Is there a night that maybe you would ever let me stay?
Is that no vacancy sign still lit up outside your heart?
Or are you ready for a little lightning in a jar?

Is there a world where you could love me? Somewhere we could be?
Is there a life where you could be here wrapped all around me?
Is there somehow a little bit of room left in your heart
Where I can cuddle up and live like lightning in a jar
