Perceptions by Melodie Yvonne

I thought you were twitterpated, but you thought I charged
I hoped maybe we’d find love, but your dick was just hard
I thought I would get to know you, you said please don’t tell
I forgave and let you go but I’m not doin’ so well

I thought maybe you came back to give me one more chance
But you took what you needed then you turned around and left
And I just don’t know what to do now I don’t trust myself
‘Cause you said that I meant the world then you picked someone else

I thought you would get to know me maybe let me in
I wouldn’t have moved so fast if I’d have known that that was it
But I always follow my heart and I thought I was right
But I guess I was wrong ‘cause I’m alone again tonight

I thought if I hoped real hard you’d maybe change your mind
But I thought that you liked me and you were just being nice
I thought you were fucking epic, you offered me cash
Tryin’ to silence all your guilt and get the fuck out fast

You done took off light speed, but I thought you was just busy
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, I thought you would miss me
Still somehow I thought if you could see my heart you’d take it
All that make believe couldn’t imagine how you’d break it

I thought when that phone rang I was getting one more chance
Hyped up movie bullshit thinkin’ I deserve romance
And I just don’t know what to do now and I hate myself
‘Cause you said that I meant the world, but you’re with someone else
