Tryin’ to Forgive You by Melodie Yvonne

I hope somebody ruins your life
The way you fucked up mine
I hope you fall in love with
Someone that’s the same alike

I wish I could just hurt you
The same way that you hurt me
But I’m tryin’ to forgive you
So that I can set me free

I wish I was as good at playin’
All your selfish games
Your constant string of sorrys
Knot into a tired refrain

And every single time that
I can finally start to breathe
You do some fucked up shit
And knock the wind right out of me

I wish I could just hurt you
The same way that you hurt me
I’m begging God to help me
‘Cause I know this isn’t me

I wish I could just hurt you
The same way that you hurt me
But I’m tryin’ to forgive you
So that I can set me free
