Tryin’ to Carry On by Melodie Yvonne

When it gets dark and hard to breathe you’re standing right in front of me
And I feel just a bit of calm ‘til I remember you moved on

Then it gets dark and hard to breathe because you’re all I want to see
Now everything I love is gone, and I’m just tryin’ to carry on

I’m reachin’ out, but you’re not there
I guess you never really cared
So why’s it so hard not to love you
Why’s there no one else above you?

I don’t know, but I’ll keep wishin’
That I’ll finally forget and
Find my heart somethin’ to do
Besides to sit and wait for you

When it gets dark and hard to breathe you’re standing right in front of me
And I feel just a bit of calm ‘til I remember you moved on

Then it gets dark and hard to breathe because you’re all I want to see
Now everything I love is gone, and I’m just tryin’ to carry on

Now everything you gave me’s gone
And everything feels oh so wrong
But somehow I just don’t regret you
And I just might not forget you

Still my broken heart can’t smile
And patchin’ up sure takes a while
So what’s there left for me to do
Except accept we’re finally through

When it gets dark and hard to breathe you’re standing right in front of me
And I feel just a bit of calm ‘til I remember you moved on

Then it gets dark and hard to breathe because you’re everything I need
Now everything I love is gone, and I’m just tryin’ to carry on
