You and Me by Melodie Yvonne

I’m tasting blue Fla•Vor•Ice
And I taste summer
These little delusions
Make it seem funner

And yes I’m aware
It should be “more” not “er”
But I wish we could go back
To the children we were

I wish we could go back
Be the children we knew
When I was just innocent
And I was with you
I wish we could go back
Be just naïve and free
I wish we could go back
To be just you & me

I’m seeing those fireflies
When I close my eyes
I’m seeing that moment
You told me goodbye

If I could go back
And just make things right
Maybe I could still see
Your sweet face in the light

I wish we could go back
Be the children we knew
When I was just innocent
And I was with you
I wish we could go back
Be just naïve and free
I wish we could go back
To be just you & me

Oh I wish we could go back to be just you & me
